In April each year, the AutoItalia concours of Italian cars is held in Canberra. The event includes a cocktail party and dinner on Saturday night, followed by the concours on Sunday.
Auto Italia is on again in 2025 and MOCA is holding its annual road trip, and following last year’s success the Ferrari Club will also be travelling with us. Auto Italia will be held at the Brad Haddin Oval in Queanbeyan on Sunday 13 April 2025.
We are again planning a 5-day road trip (4 nights) to Canberra via Albury on the way up and via Cooma and Beechworth on the return drive. The trip will again include two nights at the Hyatt in Canberra which is surely Australia’s best Art Deco Hotel. On the Monday, some like to travel directly back to Melbourne, but for those who prefer the road less travelled, we have arranged a scenic route back via Cooma with an overnight stay in Beechworth. We have done this on a couple of previous occasions and it’s always been a success.
The planned itinerary is:
Friday 11 April: Meet at Choclaterie, Yarra Glen for morning tea, lunch in Yarck, dinner and overnight at Best Western Plus Hovell Inn, Albury.
Saturday 12 April: Albury to Canberra. Auto Italia Cocktail Party and official Auto Italia dinner (hosted by NSW Maserati Club and MOCA). Overnight at Hyatt Canberra.
Sunday 13 April: Auto Italia / free afternoon. Casual dinner and overnight stay at Hyatt Canberra. Dinner at Hyatt (TBC)
Monday 14 April: Canberra to Beechworth via Cooma. Overnight at Armour Inn.
Tuesday 15 April: Beechworth to Home.

Albury Best Western Hovell Tree Inn Deluxe Queen Room with Balcony: $184 Executive King Room with Balcony: $194 per night
Canberra Park Hyatt Hotel Canberra King room – $395.00 per night including breakfast for one King room – $430.00 per night including breakfast for two
Beechworth $160 to $170 (no breakfast)
